- Not a shell-script wrapper. Runtime adapters need structured state and lifecycle reporting, not just
command: string. - Not an unbounded autonomous agent. Human checkpoints, verification evidence, and promotion policy are core.
- Not a docs-only framework forever. Documentation comes first, but the design should lead to a CLI and adapter implementation.
- Not a replacement for GitHub/Linear. It should link to issue trackers rather than own all planning data.
- Not a sandbox monoculture. Git worktrees and AgentFS have different strengths; the harness should model both.

Prove that Ultimate Harness can describe, launch, observe, verify, and promote bounded agentic work in a runtime-agnostic way.
Personas
Needs a runtime-agnostic harness that can unify Codex, Claude Code, Pi, Hermes, and future tools without losing specs, skills, or audit trails. Values proactive structure, deep docs, reusable skills, and verification-first workflows.
